Return Policy

REWARDS DELIVERED AS PART OF XMACHINES (FORMALLY X3D MACHINES) 2015 KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN PLEDGES ARE NONREFUNDABLE. 

New, Unopened and Unused Products- Returns for refunds will be accepted for new, unopened and unused products that were purchased in stock at the regular retail price directly from XMACHINES LLC. These units can be returned for up to 30 days for a 20% restocking fee. 

Opened and Used Products- Returns for refunds of opened and used products will be considered within the 14 days return period provided that the units are not modified or damaged for a 20% restocking fee. XMACHINES LLC. has sole discretion in decisions regarding a products fitness for return.  No refund will be granted for printers which have been tampered with in any manner which jeopardizes XMACHINES LLC’s ability to remarket or resell the printer. 

Returns for refunds of opened or used filament spools and accessories will not be accepted. 


The customer will pay for all shipping fees relating to the return. Shipping charges on the initial purchase is not refundable.

All sales on limited/discounted ordered units are final. Sales of all refurbished units are final.

All returns are subject to 20% restocking fee. The 20% restocking fee goes to the cost of us verifying, disassembling, repackaging, handling and re-testing components. XMACHINES LLC’s has the sole discretion to determine whether or not a returned product is eligible for refund.  When returning products, please make sure that the product is properly and securely packaged to prevent any shipping damage. We recommend you purchase shipping insurance to cover your losses in the event of any shipping damage.

If you intend to return your product, please contact XMACHINES LLC. at support@xmachines.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. The RMA request must be submitted within ten (10) calendar days from the delivery date. The product must be shipped within three (3) days after receiving a RMA number. This will ensure that the product was purchased from XMACHINES LLC directly. By purchasing a product from XMACHINES LLC’s, you are consenting to this return/refund policy. Our return/refund policy is subject to change at any time without notice.

Packaging

Products should be shipped inside their original boxes and foam packaging. The packaging that originally comes with your XMACHINES LLC. product is designed to provide maximal protection throughout the shipping process. XMACHINES LLC. is not responsible for items that are lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed in-transit due to inadequate packaging and/or protection.  It is the your responsibility to ensure that devices are properly packaged and protected when shipping to XMACHINES LLC. RMA fulfillment. Customers are advised to insure their RMA products for their full value when arranging for shipment. All claims for in-transit lost/stolen/damaged/destroyed goods must be made with the shipping carrier responsible for the damage, not with XMACHINES LLC.

When you return your item(s), you must include your order number in the box and reason for return.

Warranty Policy

XMACHINES LLC. warrants that its products will be free from manufacturer defects and perform as intended. This is an express warranty and is intended to be in addition to and in lieu of any coverage not already provided by statutory implied warranties that may cover you already. This warranty applies worldwide.

Warranty Coverage Period: (90) calendar days from the date of delivery.

If you have received a product with faulty/defective/missing parts, please contact us by submitting a Broken/Missing ticket inside of this 90 day window. The component must be deemed defective by XMACHINES LLC. If a component is found to be defective, XMACHINES LLC. will provide a replacement part (or acceptable substitute, i.e; refurbished “like new” component), but not provide installation service for defective parts.

What is Covered: Any defects in materials and workmanship for XMACHINES LLC. products under typical use during the coverage period and which is not specifically excluded below.

What is Not Covered: 1) Any unauthorized modification or repair, where tampering/disassembly is evident, or improper disassembly/re­assembly even if authorized; 2) Damage caused by using 3rd party software, USB cables, or power supplies not certified or sold by XMACHINES LLC; 3) Consumables such as print beds, buildtak sheets, and filaments; 4) Costs of shipping and handling, including duties & VAT if applicable; 5) Damage due to shipping; 6) Incidental or consequential damages such as water, excess heat, electrical discharge, abuse, misuse, neglect, unusual operating conditions or improper storage; 7) Normal wear & tear including scratches and nicks; 8) Extruder system problems reasonably repairable by the customer, especially those caused by filaments that are not pure ABS or PLA; 9) Stalling of the printer due to filament snagging 10) Any product specifications that were advertised and are slightly different, such as color, or performance characteristics which are to be improved in good faith and can be updated remotely 11) any other acts of damage where XMACHINES LLC. manufacturing is not at fault; 12) This warranty does not cover any additional representation or express warranty beyond the limitations of this warranty if it was provided by anyone other than XMACHINES LLC.; 13) This warranty does not apply when the proof of purchase can not be confirmed or is claimed by anyone other than the first­end user.

Clearance, Markdown, and Refurbished Products

Items purchased as clearance, markdown, or refurbished have no warranty, sold “as-is” and are not eligible for returns. 

Out of Warranty Repairs

To request repair service, you must email support@xdmachines.com and obtain an RMA. A Proof of purchase invoice may be requested to ensure that the product was purchased from XMACHINES LLC. to the first end­user.

Shipping & handling fees both ways ­ return and destination ­ are not included and subject to change. The user should aim to use our preferred shipping carrier and label for pickup.

Any repair service can be conducted at the cost of parts, labor, and shipping for up to ONE YEAR from the time of initial purchase, even if the printer is out of warranty. Repair labor may cost $50 to $100 and may cost more in special cases. Part replacement fees are typically $30 to $100 and may cost more in special cases.

XMACHINES LLC. reserves the right to reject any repair request such for customers who can not show they are the first end­user or when printers have been modified and tampered with.
